Young Global Citizens Assembly e.V. is a registered charitable association based in Berlin. Through our programmes, we support young people, refugees, migrants and displaced communities with educational opportunities, professional development, intercultural dialogue, civic participation and peacebuilding activities.
How your donation helps
Your donation may support:
- access to online and higher education;
- professional and vocational training;
- youth leadership and civic-participation programmes;
- peacebuilding and intercultural dialogue;
- support for refugees, displaced persons and socially disadvantaged youth;
- educational resources, workshops and mentoring;
- the secure and responsible administration of our charitable programmes.
Unless you select a specific programme or donation purpose, we will use your donation where it is most urgently needed within our charitable purposes.

Donation receipts
Young Global Citizens Assembly e.V. is recognised as a tax-privileged
charitable organisation in Germany.
Our latest tax-exemption notice relates to the 2023 assessment period and was
issued by the Finanzamt für Körperschaften I, Berlin, on 10 March 2025.
Donations may be tax-deductible in Germany subject to the applicable legal requirements and the donor’s individual tax situation.
For donations of more than EUR 300, we can issue an official donation receipt upon request.
For donations of up to EUR 300, a bank statement or payment confirmation, together with our simplified proof of charitable status, may generally be sufficient for German tax purposes.
To receive a donation receipt, please provide:
- your full legal name;
- your complete postal address;
- your email address;
- the donation date;
- the donation amount; and
- the payment method.
Please ensure that the name provided matches the name of the person or organisation that made the donation.

Tax treatment outside Germany depends on the law applicable in the donor’s country. We cannot guarantee that a donation will be tax-deductible outside Germany.
